There shall be a body of trustees whh, subject to the other provisions of this Ordinance, shall consist of

(a) Three officers of the Government of Hong Kong, appointed by the Governor;

(b) Three British subjects interested in the trade of the Fort nominated by the Gemral Chamber of Commerce, and appointed by the Governor;

(a) Are British subject interested in the trade of the Port noming ted by the Hong Kong Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and appointed by the Gover nor;

(a) A Chairman, appointed by the Governo

(2) The Governor shall have a right of veto in respect of any nomination.

(3) Every trustee, other than the Chairmen, shal vacate his appointment at the end of three years from the date there of, but shall be eligible to be reappointed for a further period or periods, each period not exceeding three years. Chairman shall hold office during the Govern's pleasure.

(4) In the event of the death, resignation or absence on leave of any trustee, of if, in the opinion of the Governor, any trustee fails or becomes unfit properly to discharge his functions, or in the event of the office of a trustee becoming vacant under the provisions of this Ordinance, tre Governor may:-

(a) if such trustee is an officer of the Hong Kong Government, appoint some other officer in place of such trustee ;

(b) if such trustee has been appointed on nomination, appoint on like nomina ti on (and with the like right of veto) some other person in place of such trustee ;

(c) if such trustee is the Chairman, appoi t some other person as Chairman.
